Youth and a catholic parent should plan on attending and rsvp 226-3232
with Mr. Drexler. Expectations: Youth do need to be signed up for ongoing
religious education and should be attending Mass on a somewhat regular
basis. Details will be reviewed at that gathering.
Adult Preparation (for
adults being confirmed) will take place separately but the liturgy at
the cathedral will include adults and youth being confirmed.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
This process is for adults who have not been baptized and may include
adults who are looking to complete their initiation into the Catholic
faith through Confirmation AND Eucharist. Some adults may have been baptized
in another Christian tradition. Most traditions are recognized by the
Catholic Church and so baptism typically is not repeated.
For more information contact Sr. Karen or Mike Drexler.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults adapted for Children
This process is similar to the above description but may include youth
who have not been catechized. Sometimes older youth who have not received
Eucharist may be included in this process.
